Heartwood No 3 has plenty of space for all the family to enjoy themselves. Ideal for two families or larger groups with fantastic views of Mt Ruapehu.
A great base for your Central Plateau adventure, skiing the volcano, rafting the Tongariro River, mountainbiking the trails or canoeing the Whanganui River.
The house is located in central Ohakune, a minutes walk to shops and restaurants, and within sight of the Ohakune carrot and Johhnys famous Eclair bakery.
There is plenty of space for the children with a treehut to use as well as a private tar sealed road great for scooters or skateboards and a large lawn area for games as well.
Ohakune is an excellent base for mountain biking adventures for all the family with the mountains to Sea Cycleway and Ohakune Old Coach Road tracks proving very popular.There are now over 30 trails to ride in the Central Plateau.
Winter brings the snow and ohakune gets busy with snow lovers from all over NZ, with easy access to Turoa ski resort and a short drive to Whakapapa.
Heartwood House No 3 is located on the Ruapehu Cabins site and this allows larger groups to all stay at the same place. The cabins can sleep up to 22 pple and often parents rent the house and teenagers stay in a cabin.There are plenty of accommodation options available. Please enquire.
